Glove box is a special sealing device widely used in experimental operations that require a water and oxygen free environment. However, as the usage time increases, harmful substances such as organic vapors and acid-base solvents may accumulate inside the glove box. These substances not only affect the normal operation of the sensors and circulation system in the glove box, but may also have adverse effects on the experimental results. Therefore, it is essential to regularly clean the glove box.

Glove box cleaning refers to the use of working gas to replace the gas inside the box and discharge it through the cleaning valve on the top, thereby removing harmful substances such as organic vapor inside the box and ensuring the purity of the internal environment of the glove box. This process is crucial for maintaining the normal operation of the glove box and the accuracy of the experiment. Regular cleaning can prevent the accumulation of pollutants, extend the service life of equipment, and ensure the reliability of experimental results.

When cleaning the glove box, pay attention to the following points:

1.Before starting the cleaning process, it is necessary to ensure sufficient supply of working gas inside the glove box to ensure continuous gas supply during the cleaning process. Suggest checking the pressure of the gas cylinder and the integrity of the connecting pipes to ensure there are no leaks.

2.To ensure the cleaning effect, it is necessary to first turn off the circulation system of the glove box to prevent gas from circulating inside the box. This can avoid the redistribution of pollutants into the glove box during the cleaning process.

3. Operate through the touch screen of the glove box, select the "Clean" button, and click "Start" to start the cleaning program. At this point, the system will automatically perform a series of preset operations to ensure the smooth progress of the cleaning process.

4. After activating the cleaning mode, it is necessary to adjust the pressure reducing valve secondary gauge and set the pressure within the correct range to ensure that the gas can effectively replace the contaminated gas inside the glove box. It is recommended to regularly check the working status of the pressure reducing valve to ensure its accuracy.

5. Exhaust the gas inside the box: Use the cleaning valve on the top of the glove box to exhaust the gas inside the box until the working gas completely replaces the original gas. This process may take some time and should be adjusted accordingly based on the size of the glove box and the concentration of pollutants inside.

When does the glove box need to be cleaned?

1. First debugging: The new glove box needs to be cleaned before the first use to ensure the initial cleanliness of the environment inside the box. This helps to avoid unforeseen pollution issues in subsequent experiments.

2. Long term inactivity: If the glove box has not been used for a long time, the inert atmosphere inside the box needs to be cleaned to restore purity. Long term unused glove boxes may adsorb moisture and pollutants from the air, affecting their performance.

3. Improper operation causing air to enter: Improper operation may cause air to enter the glove box, which needs to be cleaned to remove the air. Even a small amount of air entering can have a significant impact on the experimental environment.

4. Removing harmful substances: When the content of organic vapor and other harmful substances in the glove box is too high, it will affect the normal operation of sensors and purification materials. It is necessary to reduce the content of these substances through cleaning to maintain the efficient operation of the glove box.

Regular cleaning and maintenance of the glove box can not only extend its service life, but also ensure the accuracy of experimental results. Mastering the correct cleaning methods and maintenance techniques can improve experimental efficiency, reduce the occurrence of malfunctions, and ensure the smooth progress of scientific research work.
