  • Q What is the difference in sealing performance between glove box flange windows and traditional windows?

    A There is a significant difference in sealing performance between the glove box flange window and traditional windows. The glove box flange window adopts a vacuum sealing method with an integral annular "0" - shaped sealing ring embedded in an integral annular groove. The sealing ring is seamless, with high sealing reliability and low leakage rate. The leakage rate of the box body is less than 0.0006vol%/h. Suitable for sealing windows and doors of vacuum equipment. The traditional glove box window relies on the compression deformation of the hollow sealing ring to compensate for the unevenness of the support surface. After the sealing ring is compressed, there are wrinkles, resulting in a high leakage rate and unreliable sealing.
  • Q Advantages of glove box flange window

    A The flange window of the glove box is made of a solid thick plate cut into a rectangular ring shape, which has high strength, resistance to impact and compression deformation, and can open a sealing groove. The overall flange window and annular sealing groove are formed by a large gantry machining center with one cut, and the flatness of the sealing support surface and sealing groove bottom surface is less than 0.1 mm/m. The flange window and the box body are welded continuously, and non-destructive testing is carried out on the weld seam. There is no leakage at the welding point.
  • Q What are the disadvantages of traditional glove box windows?

    A The traditional glove box window adopts a box body plate bent and spliced to form a support surface, which has poor flatness and weak support strength. The sealing ring is pasted on the surface of the support surface. The unevenness of the supporting surface is compensated by the compression deformation of the hollow sealing ring. Generally, the hollow diameter is 2-4mm, and some manufacturers may reach 10mm; After the sealing ring is tightened, there are wrinkles, resulting in a high leakage rate and unreliable sealing. It does not belong to vacuum sealing, but to simple mechanical sealing.
  • Q Will the glove box keep replenishing air inside as long as it is powered on?

    A After the glove box is turned on and powered on, it will not continue to supply air to the inside of the box. When the inert atmosphere inside the glove box reaches the set standard, it will stop supplying air. Later, when the water and oxygen levels inside the glove box exceed the set standard, it will resume the supply cycle; If the water and oxygen levels inside the glove box do not exceed the standard after the glove box is powered on, and air is continuously supplied to the glove box, it is necessary to check whether the air supply valve, the glove box PLC air supply touch light is on, and whether the foot pedal air supply is pressurized.
  • Q How to check if the small transition compartment of the glove box is leaking air?

    A If you want to know if the small transition compartment of the glove box is leaking, apply negative pressure to the small transition compartment to -0.01Mpa and wait for 5-10 minutes until there is no leakage. Check if there is any change in the pressure gauge. If there is no change at all, it means that the sealing of the small transition chamber is not a problem! (Because the lower the leak detection pressure, the longer the time it takes).
  • Q The glove box is sealed normally, but the gas usage is relatively fast. What is the reason for this?

    A The glove box is sealed normally, but the gas usage is relatively fast. The main inspection is to check the connection between the working gas of the glove box and the gas cylinder; Both the main and auxiliary gauges on the pressure reducing valve may leak air.
  • Q Is the glove box leaking, but the circulation check shows that the box and pipelines are normal and there is no leakage?

    A When the glove box is leaking but the circulation check box and pipelines are normal and there is no leakage, unplug the circulation fan and turn on the circulation. Adjust the pressure of the box to up 9 and down 6 to easily find the problem. Most of the leakage is caused by the pilot valve of the angle valve on the purification column. If the cause cannot be found, please contact the supplier's after-sales service for consultation.
  • Q What is glove box cleaning?
