FAQ

  • Q When does the water analyzer in the Mikrouna glove box need to be cleaned?

A The water analyzer in the Mikrouna glove box needs to be cleaned regularly to maintain its accuracy and performance. The frequency of cleaning depends on the frequency of use and the degree of contamination of the sample. After working for a long time, if the water probe is covered by dirt or the reading is inaccurate, a special cleaning solution can be used, and the cleaning and recovery operation should be carried out according to the manufacturer's instruction manual to avoid damaging the instrument or affecting the measurement results. After cleaning, calibrate to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Q Is there a prompt for the cleaning time of the water analyzer probe in the Mikrouna glove box?

A There is a prompt for the cleaning time of the water analyzer probe in the Mikrouna glove box, with a default cleaning interval of 2000 hours. If the set value is "0", this prompt is considered invalid.
  • Q What is the alarm setting range for the Mikrouna glove box?

A The upper alarm system set point of the Mikrouna glove box is+16mbar; Set the alarm system to -16mbar. When the pressure in the box is higher than+16mbar, the air supply valve will be automatically closed, and the pressure relief exhaust valve (cleaning exhaust valve) will be opened to exhaust. When the pressure is lower than 15mbar, the pressure relief exhaust valve will be closed to automatically restore normal operation; When the pressure of the box is lower than the lower alarm set point -16mbar, the vacuum pump and exhaust valve are closed, and all system functions are turned off. The pressure relief exhaust valve (cleaning exhaust valve) automatically opens, and when it is higher than -16mbar, the pressure relief valve automatically closes. If there are frequent occurrences of abnormal high or low pressure, the cause must be identified and repaired before the system can be restarted.
  • Q What happens when the working air pressure is too low during glove box cleaning?

A If the working pressure of the glove box is too low (<0.2Mpa) during cleaning, the cleaning exhaust will automatically shut off. When the pressure inside the box rises to above 6mbar, the cleaning intake valve will automatically shut off. Sufficient gas and pressure need to be maintained during glove box cleaning.
  • Q What should you do if there is no gas in the glove box during the cleaning process?

A If there is suddenly no gas supply during the cleaning process of the glove box, the cleaning operation should be stopped immediately, and then the pressure reducing valve should be closed. Only after confirming that the secondary gauge of the pressure reducing valve is in the closed state can the steel cylinder be replaced to avoid damaging the pneumatic angle valve due to excessive pressure when opening the steel cylinder.
  • Q The glove box has been cleaned, but the water oxygen value does not meet the standard. What should be done?

A The non-compliance of water and oxygen levels in glove boxes may be caused by various factors. Firstly, it may be due to incomplete cleaning, resulting in residue that affects the accuracy of the water oxygen sensor. Secondly, there may be a problem with the sealing performance of the glove box, causing external air to infiltrate and increase the content of water vapor and oxygen. In addition, if there is water absorption or gas release in the materials or components inside the glove box, it may also affect the water oxygen value. Finally, sensor malfunctions or improper calibration may also result in inaccurate readings. To solve this problem, it is necessary to check and maintain the sealing of the glove box, ensure thorough cleaning process, and check whether the sensor needs calibration or replacement. After investigating the cause and resolving it, perform another system cleaning.
  • Q How to determine if glove box cleaning is complete?

A To determine if the glove box cleaning has been completed, it is necessary to observe the gas consumption. A standard single station glove box requires approximately 8000L of gas for cleaning once. Then turn on the analyzer switch and circulation switch, wait for about 10 minutes, and observe if the water oxygen values are all less than 200ppm. If the water oxygen values are all less than 200ppm, the cleaning is completed normally.
  • Q When does the glove box need to be systematically cleaned?

A The glove box does not need to be cleaned every day, just pay attention to cleaning the system immediately when the water oxygen concentration in the box exceeds 200ppm to avoid consuming purification materials. Alternatively, glove box cleaning can be performed before system debugging, when opening glass windows for system maintenance, when air enters due to misoperation, when air enters due to damage, or after handling organic solvents.
