FAQ

  • Q What problems will be encountered when regenerating glove boxes?

A When regenerating the glove box, there may be some problems, such as insufficient regeneration; No gas is discharged from the exhaust port during regeneration; Unexpected power outage during regeneration; When the regeneration was not completed, the regeneration switch was manually turned off; During regeneration, the float gets stuck, causing poor ventilation or airflow; When unsure how to solve these problems, do not blindly operate. Consult the glove box supplier as soon as possible for answers.
  • Q What is the working principle of the glove box?

A The working principle of the glove box is that the working gas inside the glove box is circulated in a closed manner through pipelines, circulating fans, etc. between the box body and the purification column (water oxygen adsorber) under the control and monitoring of PLC. When the working gas circulates through the purification column, its water and oxygen content are adsorbed and then returned to the box. As the circulation time goes on, the water and oxygen content in the working gas in the box will gradually decrease, eventually reaching the target of less than 1ppm.
  • Q How to remove items from the glove box?

A When taking items out of the glove box, make sure that the outer door of the transition compartment is closed and the atmosphere inside the transition compartment is consistent with the glove box; Open the inner compartment door of the glove box, place the items to be taken out into the tray in the transition compartment, and close the inner compartment door. At this point, you can directly open the outer compartment door of the glove box transition compartment to take out the items, which completes the retrieval of the items.
  • Q How to put items inside the glove box from the outside?

A To place items inside the glove box, it is necessary to use a transition chamber. First, ensure that the vacuum pump is open and the door of the transition chamber inside the glove box is closed. Then open the transition hatch outside, pull out the storage tray, place the items to be placed in the tray and push them back into the transition hatch, and close the hatch tightly. At this point, it is necessary to perform vacuum operation on the transition chamber. Generally, three vacuum operations are required when placing items. Finally, open the inner compartment door, remove the items from the transition chamber and place them in the glove box, and close the inner compartment door. The above is a complete operation of placing items into the glove box from the outside in.
  • Q What should you do if the steel cylinder runs out of gas while cleaning the glove box?

A When cleaning the glove box, if the steel cylinder runs out of gas and needs to be ventilated, the cleaning switch on the touch screen must be turned off first, and then the pressure reducing valve must be turned off. Only after confirming that the secondary gauge of the pressure reducing valve is in the closed state can the steel cylinder be replaced to avoid damaging the pneumatic angle valve due to excessive pressure when opening the steel cylinder.
  • Q Under what circumstances does the glove box require systematic cleaning?

    A
When does the glove box need to undergo system cleaning?
    1. Before the system starts debugging.
    2. Open the glass front window due to system maintenance.
    3. Due to misoperation, air entered the glove box.
    4. Due to damage to the glove box, air entered.
Due to various reasons mentioned above, there may be air inside the glove box, which requires system cleaning. The process of replacing the air inside the glove box with working gas is called "cleaning".
  • Q Can the regenerated exhaust gas from the glove box be directly discharged?

    A
The glove box regeneration exhaust gas can be directly discharged into the air, but doing so will produce unpleasant odors and cause pollution, which can harm human health. Mikrouna does not recommend discharging glove box regeneration exhaust gas into the air.
Especially when using radiation or toxic materials, it is forbidden to discharge regenerated exhaust gas into the air.
  • Q What are the requirements for glove box regeneration and regeneration?

    A
The gas demand for glove box regeneration is based on actual applications:
When nitrogen is used as the working gas, a nitrogen/hydrogen mixture gas (90-95% N2, 5-10% H2) is used
When argon is used as the working gas, an argon/hydrogen mixture gas (90-95% Ar, 5-10% H2) is used
When helium is used as the working gas, a helium/hydrogen mixture gas (90-95% He, 5-10% H2) is used
The glove box regeneration gas requires a purity of 99.999%. For each regeneration process, each MK100 purification column contains approximately 3000-4000L (volume under standard conditions) of mixed gas“
